5.8/10

My stay at Hilton Houston Post Oak was a mix of highs and lows. The lobby and common spaces were beautifully maintained, creating a pleasant atmosphere. however, my room felt quite outdated, which was a disappointment given the price tag. While I appreciated the cleanliness of the accommodations, certain amenities left much to be desired, particularly in the dining and service areas.

Rooms
5.0
The room was spacious but had an outdated feel. The bathroom in particular needed remodeling, and the shower had low water pressure, which was quite disappointing for the price of over $200 a night. There was also an awkward situation with the cleanliness as it seemed someone had just showered before my arrival.
Service
5.0
The service was largely uninspired. While certain staff members were friendly, I had some issues that went unaddressed, like malfunctioning lights in my room. Interactions at the front desk felt hasty; for instance, they handed me packages to take to the valet instead of providing assistance.
Location
6.0
The location was definitely a highlight, being in close proximity to the Galleria and various shops and restaurants, which made my travel plans more convenient. It was fantastic for accessibility to everything I needed during my stay.
Dining
5.0
The dining experience fell short of expectations. Breakfast was limited and not particularly enjoyable, particularly with a buffet setup where you couldn't get your own drinks. I would have preferred to explore dining options outside of the hotel for more variety and quality.
Facilities
5.0
The fitness center was well-maintained and a positive aspect of my stay. although the pool was not as inviting. It appeared neglected and did not meet the standards I hoped for at a hotel of this caliber.

6.6/10

My recent stay at Hilton Houston Post Oak By The Galleria was enjoyable overall. The standout was definitely the staff, who provided really good service that made me feel welcome. However, there were some minor issues, like inconsistent heating in the room and limited seating in the executive lounge. Still, I'd consider returning for the comfortable accommodations and convenient location.

Rooms
8.0
The room was spacious, very clean, and comfortable, with nice, firm pillows. I appreciated having a mini fridge available and loved the option to request a microwave. However, the in-room heating was a bit inconsistent, which affected my comfort during the stay.
Service
9.0
The service was excellent, especially from staff members like Edison at breakfast who made the experience enjoyable. Kaneshia at check-in was incredibly helpful, while James and Tione went above and beyond to accommodate my dietary needs during breakfast. However, some staff interactions were less friendly, which left me a bit uncomfortable.
Location
9.0
The hotel's location was superb, with easy access to nearby shopping and restaurants. I loved that it was within walking distance of the Galleria, making it convenient for my plans. The shuttle service added an extra layer of convenience for getting around.
Dining
8.0
The breakfast buffet was one of the highlights of my stay, offering a wide variety of delicious options that exceeded my expectations. I appreciated the healthy selections and the gluten-free options available. However, the dining prices were somewhat high for the quality offered, which could be better matched.
Facilities
7.0
The hotel featured a well-maintained gym with Peloton bikes, a lovely outdoor pool, and a coffee shop in the lobby, all contributing to a pleasant stay. While the amenities were generally good, I felt the executive lounge could benefit from more seating, especially during busy times.

6.0/10

I appreciated the friendly staff and spacious rooms, but I encountered several issues during my stay that impacted my experience adversely. There were inconsistencies in the cleaning service, and the dated facilities left much to be desired. Overall, while there were some positives, the negatives overshadowed my visit. 😕

Rooms
5.0
I found the rooms to be spacious but dated. The layout of my first room was odd, and the bathroom was not what I expected. I had to switch to a different room after requesting a change due to comfort concerns.
Service
6.0
The staff was generally friendly, but I faced challenges with the front desk when trying to address various issues, including problems with my room and a late-night air conditioning issue.
Location
8.0
The hotel's location is convenient, with nearby access to shops and restaurants, making it great for travelers who want to explore the Galleria area.
Dining
5.0
Although breakfast was included, I was disappointed with the quality and variety, feeling it didn't meet my expectations for the price charged.
Facilities
5.0
I noticed some cleanliness issues around the hotel, such as unemptied trash and a dirty balcony window. The amenities felt outdated and in need of modernizing.

6.2/10

I recently stayed at the Hilton Houston Post Oak, and it had its ups and downs. The room was spacious and clean, making for a comfortable stay, but the noise from neighboring guests really impacted my rest. The breakfast options left a lot to be desired, which was disappointing given the hotel's reputation. Overall, while there were some nice aspects, the experience could definitely be improved. 😅🤔

Rooms
6.0
My room was spacious and clean, but the noise insulation was poor, and I struggled to get a good night’s sleep due to loud neighbors.
Service
6.0
Service from the staff was generally good, but my request for a manager's contact after checkout was ignored.
Location
9.0
The location is fantastic, being near the Galleria Mall and other restaurants, which was perfect for my business trip.
Dining
5.0
I found the breakfast to be underwhelming and overpriced for what was offered. The service during breakfast was also not great.
Facilities
7.0
The hotel had good amenities, but the facilities are showing signs of wear and need some updates.

I had a pretty decent stay at the Hilton Houston Post Oak, but it wasn't without its issues. The staff were genuinely friendly and helpful, making a positive impact on my experience. However, my room had a few quirks, like a fridge that was more of a problem than a help. The location was definitely a plus, just a bit tricky to get to the Galleria on foot. Overall, not a bad hotel, but I expected a bit more for the price.

Rooms
8.0
My room was spacious and had direct access to the pool, which was nice. However, the fridge needed some adjustment since it was set to freeze everything. It was clean, but I felt it could've been vacuumed better. All in all, good space but some minor upkeep needed.
Service
10.0
The staff were super friendly, going out of their way to make sure I felt welcome. They were particularly great with breakfast and even made suggestions for local spots. Totally added to the overall vibe of the hotel.
Location
8.0
The hotel is in a prime spot near the Galleria, which was convenient for shopping and dining. However, the walk to the mall wasn't the easiest with busy streets and limited sidewalks. An Uber was a better way to go.
Dining
7.0
Breakfast was enjoyable, though it's worth mentioning that the 'bacon' was a bit suspect. It worked for a kick-start, but I expected a little more variety and quality.
Facilities
8.0
The fitness center was well-equipped, which I appreciated. The bar area was lively with plenty of TVs, perfect for catching NFL playoff games with a drink in hand. Overall, the facilities were decent but had room for improvement.
